Daniel Haff

Born and raised in northern New Jersey, the filmmaking itch hit early. From school projects to stop-motion videos I knew early on that making movies is what I wanted to do. I earned an Associates Degree in Broadcast Communication from Sussex County Community College (SCCC) before making the jump to Los Angeles for Columbia College Hollywood (CCH) where I earned an Bachelor of Fine Arts in Broadcasting and Cinema with an emphasis in editing. During my time at CCH I interned at both Varsity Pictures (Blue Mountain State, 1000 Words) where my responsibilities were working the front office as well as making runs to studios and agencies while shopping pilots and other projects. I also interned on Disney's Sonny With A Chance (Demi Lovato) where I was a post-production intern. After collage I worked at PlayNetwork for 9 years, working my way up from freelance Assistant Editor to full time Editor, working with clients such as Starbucks, Journey's, Dick's Last Resort, FedEx, and many more on short form and music related work.

After PlayNetwork I began freelancing in the feature film realm where I began working as both an Editor and Digital Image Technician (DIT) / Media Manager on features, from horror to action to family films. I also began producing as well on some smaller films. I work primarily with DaVinci and Adobe Premiere, as well as Silverstack when I am DIT. But with quick learning ability I can adapt to just about any work environment. On most features I tend to work as both DIT/Assistant Editor with the experience I bring which helps ease the transition from production to post-production, providing dailies, syncing, organized project, as well as rough assembly of scenes. I have also worked as an Online Editor providing conform and delivery on numerous features as well to studios such as Tubi, Grindstone, and Lions Gate.
